On 6/18 ACR&S and another rescue took in 48 pigs from Jacksonville, NC. We were told these were rescued pigs, belonging to a 78 year old rescuer who had been hospitalized. Most were supposed to be over 4 years old. In fact, they are litters from a breeder dumping her excess stock. ACR&S currently has 30 of these, all males, most under 8 months, and Greener Side Rescue has 8 females and 10 males. If you can, PLEASE consider fostering, adopting, or donating to care for these animals. We most urgently need foster homes to socialize them, veggies to feed them, and money for their vet care.
